Netflix confirmed that a prequel to Money robbery, also know as The Money Heist, based on its Berlin character, will premiere in 2023.
The streaming giant made the announcement in a tweet.
“Berlin: a new seriesYou will see Pedro Alonso reprising his role in the next web show.
The character, whose real name in the sample was Andrés de Fonollosa, was Sergio Marquina’s older brother -also known as the Professor- and was in charge of the robbery at the Royal Mint of Spain.
He had also planned to steal the gold from the Bank of Spain before his death.
The character was killed in the final episode of the second season. He appeared in flashbacks in the remaining three seasons.

Pedro Alonso, in an interview with a foreign news agency, was ecstatic by a program based on his character.
“I am so happy about that,” he said. “I am deeply grateful to be able to connect with people from all over the world and receive so much love and such a memorable moment.
“We started this series walking into the unknown and have been winning ever since. You fans are our accomplices and thank you for that ”.

In the fifth part of the show, fans learned that she had a son, Rafael, who is an expert in the field of cybersecurity and electrical engineering.
It remains to be seen if the character will appear on the show.
