Spider-Man: No Way Home ticket fever crashes AMC and Fandango websites

Fans of Wonderful and the MCU can you remember that the Ticket launch for Avengers: Endgame made a enormous number on movie ticket sites in the US Now it seems that Spiderman: No way home has done the exact same thing, with online fans claiming so much AMC and Fandango are down as a result of the lawsuit.

The launch of a NFT it could be partly to blame. Earlier on sunday AMC announced that the first 86,000 “AMC Stubs A-List, Premiere or Investor Connect members” who purchased or reserved tickets to a Spider-Man screening on December 16 would receive a “green” Spider-Man NFT for their troubles. It’s hard to say if this had any impact on the AMC site’s downfall, but most likely it didn’t help. AMC and Fandango did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Beyond AMC, the demand for Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets appears to be affecting almost every pre-order service out there. Some users report that other sites like Drafthouse are also experiencing difficulties. We will update when we hear more.
