Jacqueline Fernández will be questioned in case of money laundering

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has found herself in trouble again when she was detained at the Mumbai airport for her links to extortionist Sukesh Chandrasekhar, an Indian news agency reported.

The report stated that the Race 2 star was summoned by the Directorate of Execution for questioning after he was denied permission to travel abroad based on a search circular issued by the Directorate.

While she was given permission to leave the airport after the investigation, she was taken out of the Emergency Department office for questioning about the money scam case.

It was his sixth summons before the Directorate of Execution and he has attended two of them.

The ED had previously filed a 7,000 page charge sheet against Sukesh Chandrasekhar in which the actor has been charged with receiving gifts worth INR100 million rupees from the scammer.

Delhi police had arrested Chandrasekar and his wife, actress Leena Paul, on charges of defrauding the family of Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Singh out of 2 billion rupees.

Shivinder Singh’s wife, Aditi Singh, had filed a complaint against Chandrasekar.

She claimed that a man had disguised himself as a senior Law Ministry official who was offering to help get her husband out of bail in exchange for money.

He added that he paid INR 2 billion in 30 installments that started in June 2020. He further mentioned that he was told that the amount was for the funds of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Aditi Singh further claimed that the alleged scammer told him that he enjoys the support of Interior Minister Amit Shah and then-Minister of Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Chandrasekhar was already charged in 21 different cases when the incident occurred.

Actors Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez are also alleged victims of the scam.
